The Rainbow Fish

Our story this week was ‘The Rainbow Fish’.  This story is all about being kind and sharing.  We have spent lots of time talking about how it makes us all feel when we share or when someone shares with us.  There has been some beautiful Rainbow Fish artwork produced this week.

We have also been looking at what happens in Autumn as the season changes.  Thank you for sending in conkers and leaves this week.

In literacy the children have been developing their mark making skills by taking their pens on an adventure and creating lots of prewriting shapes.  Can they show you some shapes they can draw at home?

In maths this week we have looked at matching different objects and finding things that are the same.  Can they go on a hunt at home to find two things that match?  These could be socks, pieces of Lego, spoons or two matching toys or teddies!  If your child manages to do this at home it would be lovely to see some photos of this on Tapestry.

Thank you for attending our Reading Evening on Tuesday.  Today your child will be bringing home their first reading book in their reading pack. If you have any further questions following the meeting, please feel free to speak to your child’s teacher.

We thank you for your continued support.
