This morning a scientist came to visit the Year 2 children. She demonstrated some experiments, including making a ‘volcano’, chatted about which materials are better for the environment, and told them about a few extraordinary inventions made by children. One of these was about a six year old boy from Hampshire, who collected more than 2,500 confectionery tubs from landfill to make outdoor furniture including benches.

The solar systems homework projects were amazing and have made lovely displays around the classrooms, thank you so much for supporting your child with this. They were all so creative and it was amazing to see the children speaking about their project with such enthusiasm and sense of pride. (Miss Heafford)
