Is it too late to say Happy New Year?

In my humble opinion it is now too late. I think I have wished Happy New Year to the world and her husband but if I have missed you off then Happy New Year. Who knows what will happen this year but whatever it does bring, we will all just have to get on with it and hopefully have fun along the way.

I am almost at the end of my second week back and I must say it is like I have never been away. It is still pizza on Wednesday and no two days are the same. Everyone still seems pleased to have me back and long may that last. There is a sense of relief that OFSTED have been and gone, but staff are still very busy and the children are still lovely little individuals. The team led by Mrs Jamfrey really kept the home fires burning and I am truly grateful for that.

I know I have already said but we were so pleased with our OFSTED report and it summed up perfectly the ethos we want to have. We can’t have that ethos without your support and we are all like a big family. Some of us live in school and some of us live in the community, but we are a family. As with all families there can be ups and downs. My daughter and I have had some cracking disagreements and quarrels in the last 27 years but we always come together in the end and sort things out. It is the same with our relationships both in school and with you. Things don’t always go to plan but we can, and do, come back together.

I know this is quite a short blog but there is no point going on for no reason. I will do that another time! Tomorrow is Friday but we had fish today. The weekend is nigh and we can all spend extra time with our families. Be kind to each other, even if you disagree or something gets on your nerves. Mr O is in for a wonderful weekend because I am going on my own to Southsea overnight so we won’t disagree about anything at all! 😂
