Happy Easter!
That’s it… Spring term – tick! I can’t believe we’ll be going into the final term when we come back from eating lots of chocolate! How speedy has this term gone? I am so happy that the evenings are getting lighter and the weather (fingers crossed) is getting gradually warmer. As teachers, we always know when it’s starting to get warmer because we no longer get asked to help with zips 132 times a day!
We have had a wonderful last week of this term and the sun has been shining! We have had lots of wonderful RE lessons this week which have focussed on happiness and sadness. Later on in the week, the children were applying this learning to the Easter Story and thinking about the emotions that Christian’s would feel during different parts of the story. We spoke about how the feeling of sadness doesn’t last a long time and the feeling of happiness often takes over
This week, in our maths learning, we have been learning and applying positional language. We have been learning our left and right and using vocabulary such as, full turn, ½ turn, ¼ turn and ¾ turn. The children loved getting the chance to apply this learning to give detailed directions to a BeeBot.
On Wednesday, we absolutely loved giving you all the chance to come into school for GIANTS IN SCHOOL DAY! What a lot of bodies there were in the classrooms! The children loved showing you around the classroom and reminding you about your listening ears! A HUGE thank you to all of the giants who gave up time to come into school. It was lovely to see you all get so involved with making the moon buggies and it was so lovely to see the children so excited to have you in their classrooms.
Another big thank you to all the TAFF tombola prizes that were brought in on Friday!
A little reminder for the Easter project about the three stages of becoming a knight, ready to begin our new Castles and Dragons topic. This is due back on the 28th April (which is the second week back!). These can be as creative or as simple as you like, but most importantly… have fun with it!
Have an incredible Easter break and we look forward to seeing you all after the holidays.
Happy Easter!
